The 1st Cavalry arrived at Ft. D.A. Russell in Marfa on January 19, 1923. This photo is thought to have been taken in the Old Opera House, also known as Town Hall, which was located on the eastern corner of North Highland and Lincoln where the Palace Theater stands today.
