This photo captures a winter parade in downtown Marfa. The Marfa Electric Light and Power Company float is shown amongst many Cavalry soldiers. Marfa was the last posting as a horse cavalry. On Dec. 14, 1932, the soldiers dismounted their horses for the last time and became a mechanized unit.
